May is National Pet Month. In honor of this we thought it would be a purrfect time to have a photo contest. Take a picture of a pet with a book. Submit it to the library before 5:30 pm on Friday, May 27. You can email or print out your photo. Make sure to submit your name, pet’s name, and your phone number. Prizes must be picked up at the library by the winners. Photos will be displayed at the library for the month of May until
June 11. Photos must be the work of the person entering the contest or (in the case of children) their parent.

W. Ralph Murray was a local artist that is well loved in this area. We will have on display several works that are on loan to us from local residents. The show will run from Tuesday, February 16 to Saturday, February 27 during the library’s regular hours. Our spring book sale will begin with a preview sale on Saturday, April 18 from 10-12 noon. prices are double with most hardcovers at $1 and paperbacks at $.40. Monday, April 20 starts our regular book sale. Monday (April 20) & Tuesday (April 21) from 12:30 – 5;30 pm. Wednesday, April 22 the sale will be from 10 – 12 noon and 6 -8 pm. The hardcover books will cost fifty cents or five books for two dollars. Paperbacks will be twenty cents or six for one dollar. There will be some specially marked items. Generally, we have a mix of fiction and nonfiction, adult and children’s. Some are library books that we no longer need and others are donated.
On Thursday and Friday, April 23-24 is the bag sale. Fill a bag that is provided by the library and pay only $2.00. Then on Saturday, is free day. Take what you want for FREE!
The sale is during regular library hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12:30 – 5:30; Wednesday 10:00 – 12:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 – 12:00 noon.
